Seaside

Seaside
Wow. AAA showed up within 20 minutes of calling them about our flat tire. 5 minutes later Matt and the tow truck guy were pulling up in front of Les Schwab.

And guess what they found?

A razor blade.

A razor blade? I was expecting a nail, but not a razor blade. Better our tire than some kids foot. Geesh.

Les Schwab was able to patch the tire within 35 minutes of Matt arriving, so really we were only about an hour and a halfish behind schedule to get to Seaside.

I am impressed by the promptness of both AAA and Les Schwab. And while we never get our moneys worth out of AAA, it is so nice to have in times such as these. Peace of mind is worth the extra dough.

And because Matt’s parents are such cool grandparents they decided to take two cars and all the grandkids heading to the beach, minus Ivy, just in case we didn’t make it. Grandma couldn’t bare the thought of our kiddos missing out. That’s one dedicated Grammy. And we love her for it.

Anywho, we all met at Seaside. The weather was not warm, but it wasn’t raining. That’s good for Oregon.

The kids got soaked. It baffles me that they really don’t care about being cold. I’m a huge cold wimp.

And lucky for us Uncle Jim and Aunt Clarka were already staying in Seaside with some friends at the Trendwest Resort, so they had a really cool outdoor pool that they let the kids swim in.

On our way home we all stopped at Camp 18 for a lovely dinner. Dad treated us. Thanks Dad!  He ordered the liver and onions. Matt and I tried a bite. And can I just say that I will do that NEVER AGAIN!

Glad you got to go!!! Ewww...liver and onions. Yuck! Actually, I don't think I've ever actually had the guts to try liver and onions, but the thought is enough. Good for you for trying it!

I would not have ever tried liver and onions. Way to go!

My kids are always in their swimming suits at the beach too even though I'm in jeans and a hooded sweatshirt with the blanket wrapped around me. I'm convinced that kids don't feel cold.

Glad you made it there! Maybe you'll be in the next Les Schwab commercial. :)

You know, I've never used AAA to fix flat, but I save so much on hotels using my membership, that it more than pays for the annual fee. We went to visit Emily's brother in L.A. for a few days, and I saved $10 a day at the hotel with AAA! That's half of my annual membership fee right there !:)
