4th of July Festivities

We had a great time over the 4th of July weekend. We were busy doing lots of family activities and spending time with good friends. Our first stop was Seaside Oregon. The kids started out their fun by taking a ride on the carousel.
Ivy making sand angels. She thought of that all by herself.

We played a mean game of Bocce Ball on the beach.

And then a fun, fun game of Fun Ball. Good thing it was fun or the name would not go with the game:0)

The adults plus Ivy. Matt, Tonya, Julie, Glenn.

The kiddos. Sophia, Ally, Madison, Laura, Ivy, Rylie, Brandon, Eli.

Next we went to the Mom and Dad Gold house. Jen and Joe brought the COOLEST and YUMMIEST desserts. They were these incredible ice cream treats inside the natural shell of whatever flavor the ice cream was. Example: Coconut ice cream inside of a coconut shell. Pineapple ice cream inside of a pineapple shell. Get it? I'm sure there was an easier way to explain that, but I couldn't think of what that would be. Anyways, they got them at Costco and they were to die for. The coconut was by far my favorite.

YUUUMMMM!!!

We had a HUGE water fight. Grandpa had his best defense in his garden hose.

Sophia filled her noodle with water and blew it on everybody. Here she is trying to attack me, but I had the camera and she knew if she got it wet she was toast.

So, she aimed below the camera.

Matt and Eli used the water guns.

On 4th of July morning we went to the Hillsboro parade. We LOVE that parade and it proved to be well worth it. We made sure to bring the sidewalk chalk so we could make a huge "throw candy here" sign in the middle of the street.

Matt and Ivy having bonding time.

The Cox family got fancy on us and did hand made signs.

After the parade we headed out to Forest Grove and hung out with our friends, the Belchers. The kids and Matt had a blast on this huge water slide.

We jumped on the tramp. Matt did his best tramp moves.

And at midnight Ivy had finally had it and pooped out sitting on my lap while plugging her ears.

I buy those fruit sherbets in bulk (it's costco, is there any other way to buy it?)
