I ADORE Girl's Camp. It was an honor to be asked to go this year since I'm no longer serve in the Young Women's program. I miss hanging out with those crazy girls every Sunday and at mid week activities, so I JUMPED at the chance to go to camp.
I was asked to be the Craft Specialist. Yipee! And with Dr. Seuss as the theme me and my awesome committee members were able to be really creative and come up with some fun stuff.
I loved getting to know some amazing women that I don't get to rub shoulders with a whole lot. I had some great chats and good laughs:) Mormon women rock!!!
And the positive, loud and insanely FUN energy of the girls is what made the week worth every minute of little sleep on a hard bunk bed.
My favorite part of girls camp is that even though it's full of fun and silly camp songs that never seem to end, the spirit is there. The atmosphere screams happiness. Man is that he might have joy. And finding joy in friendships and the teachings of the gospel and even those loud, obnoxious camp songs is what girl's camp is all about!
But the very best part about going to girl's camp was that my two oldest girls were there with me.
I hope that I will be asked to go next year AND the year after AND the year after that.....
