Matt's friend/business client, Alfred, was here from Holland. He stayed a few nights with our crazy family. I hope we didn't scare him! We're not a very calm bunch. He travels a lot, so this was a nice change of pace for him. I'm sure he gets so sick of hotels and fast food and being by himself. And I'm grateful to my husband for even thinking about that and inviting Alfred to join our family for a few days. He was very kick back and really, really nice, so it was no trouble at all to host him. He shared with us pictures of his cute family ( he has 14 year old triplets!) and of his many adventures. It was great to get to know him and ask him questions about his family and culture.
Of course we had to show him the sites.
Multnomah Falls is so beautiful.

Sophia wore the wrong shoes. Fancy gladiator sandals are not made for hiking. So I stayed behind with her while the rest of the crew hiked to the top. And while I was sad to miss out on the hike, Sophia and I had a blast people watching.
