Independence Day

This year we followed tradition and went to the Hillsboro 4h of July parade. We met a  bunch of family there and the cousins had a great time sidewalk chalking the street while we waited for the parade to get to us. The kids were not disappointed with the piles of candy they collected from  the streets and this year the Reser's truck was especially nice to us: we got TWO beef jerky sticks! I would still love for them to frisbee out burritos, but that will probably never happen. Dang.

Afterwards we came back to our house and made sandwiches with Jen and Joe and their kiddos. We played Just Dance on the Wii and the kids jumped on the tramp. I gave Matt a quick hair cut and then we were off to Aunt Clarka and Uncle Jim's house for  a big potluck and fireworks.

The moon on the way home was HUGE and the strangest color of orange I have ever seen. I thought it might be a sign that it was the end of the world, but obviously I was wrong :)
