Happy Birthday, Ivy!

I am both happy and sad to say that my baby is 7! Happy that she is healthy and happy and growing and cute as ever. But sad that she is no longer a baby or even a toddler. I miss those days. I miss her little baby jabber. I miss her little body curling up to mine as she slept on my shoulder. But I love that she still wants me to hold her and that even though her long legs won't let her curl up quite as tightly...she still tries with all her might! I know even this won't last much longer.

Sigh.

But I love who this little girl is becoming! She wakes up with a smile on her face most mornings and loves to go to school. She always wants to pick out her own outfits and hates it when I tell her it doesn't match or that boots don't go with athletic shorts. She is kind to her friends and requests play dates often. If I let her, she would watch TV all the time...her favorite right now is Ghost Whisperer. That's thanks to her older sisters who love that show. Dora out, Ghost Whisperer in. Funny show for a 7 year old to love! Ivy is also a healthy eater. And where she got this I have no idea! She'd choose apples over chocolate any day and never wants soda pop or juice, but instead requests water for every meal. I could learn a thing or two from her example!


I sure do love you, Miss Ivy. You make my heart happy.
