My Birthday

So far 36 has been good. Yesterday I turned that whole year older! And so far I do not seem to mind that I am getting closer to 40. Though, I did notice yesterday that my knees were hurting while going up and down the stairs. Hopefully it just had something to do with being really ill. Yes, I spent part of my birthday at the doctors office being tested for strep and getting treated for an ear infection. Strep test came back negative, so that's a happy thing. But now I'm on antibiotics and I'm pretty sure they make me feel slightly nauseous. I guess that's better than ear pain.

My sweet Sophia Sunshine made me this gorgeous cake. It was all from scratch. She found the recipes and went to work. Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Frosting and a Butter Cream Fondant. She had Rylie and a couple of her cute, little friends help make the flowers. That girl works magic in the kitchen. I swear!

And it was D.E.L.I.S.H!

Sophia after the whipped cream fight. I think Matt won.

Perfect for Mexico! Just one more week...

Nap time!

My handsome boys.

A few of my wonderful friends who came over to give me some birthday cheer. I love these ladies!

My amazing friend Allison and her family also stopped by to wish me a happy birthday. Her adorable daughter, Rachael, gave me this gorgeous flower.

My husband is the best thing. I LOVE that man. We pretty much adore each other, just so ya know. I am one lucky girl! He even loves me enough to give me a Taco Bell gift card and tickets for me and the girls to go see Wicked. And for those of you who know Matt you would know that he can't stand Taco Bell, so it took some major love for him to walk into my FAVORITE fast food joint and buy this.

Me and my favorite girls at Taco Bell. Toxic Hell. Taco Smell. Whatever you want to call it. We love it!

And Wicked is by far one of the coolest shows I have ever seen on stage. It was a huge treat to get to share it with my girls. We all loved it! Galinda was H.I.L.A.R.I.O.U.S! Good job on the gift this year, Matt. You rock.

I think I'm going to like being 36 years of age!

Happy Birthday! I am so glad it was good - although had I known you were going to post that B-day pic I would have at least coordinated outfits (jackets) with you and Tami! Love ya!
