Sometimes Thanksgiving isn't celebrated in a traditional way.
( daddy tripp )
Especially when your Daddy owns a pub.
( mommy tripp )
Did you know that if the lottery machines are covered that kids can go into a pub?
I didn't. But, they can.
So Mom and Dad closed the pub, on Thanksgiving, to the public and opened it up for the family. I wasn't sure what it would be like celebrating Thanksgiving pub style.
But, it was fun. Like, really fun!
The kids played pool.
And darts.
Ivy even got a bullseye!
And they got to serve themselves soda pop from behind the bar.
There was space for Eli to sit on his cousin and slap his forehead over and over until he named 10 candy bars.
Poor Nathan! It's called the candy bar game. Sidenote: Matt did it to me on our second date. Can you believe that?
Hottie with a hula hoop.
Karaoke was the big fun for the evening.
Matt singing karaoke is one of the funniest things you will ever witness.
The feast.
The kiddos lined up at the bar to eat their yumminess.
Our family friend, Connie, was diagnosed with Leukemia just a week before Thanksgiving. So sad. This girl spent a lot of time at our house when we lived in Eugene. She married another family friends son and they live in Georgia now with their 4 little kids..one who just turned a month old. She's such a wonderful gal.
I can't imagine.
We made her some cards to cheer her up.
I hope they bring her some sunshine while she's in isolation at the hospital for the next 3-4 weeks.
My sister Lori showing off her cleaning skills at the end of the night:)
I wonder if this will become a Tripp family tradition?

That has seriously got to be the best Thanskgiving EVER. Awesome! You definitely should make that a family tradition!
Sounds like a great Thanksgiving to me! It looks like a ton of fun.
