This morning Matt decided that it would be fun for Eli to miss a day of school and go on the road with him. I love that the thought even crossed his mind. It was one of those simple moments that made me fall in love with my honey all over again.
Eli looked so honored and proud that his daddy would invite him to go to work with him for a whole entire day. He even changed his shirt so he could look more professional. And Jack in the Box for lunch! Now, that's a lot better than another boring sandwich and applesauce cup.
Eli even gave up plans to walk home from school with Max. That's big. Because, know it or not, Max = cool.
My boys got home at 6:00. Eli was all smiles.
Matt said that they had a great day together.
And, I'd say it was a perfect excuse for a 9 year old boy to ditch school.
