Peter & Amanda

On our very first day in Utah we had the privilege of attending my cousin Amanda's wedding.

It was at a beautiful greenhouse/indoor garden place called La Jardin. I'm sure that means 'the garden' in some language. Maybe Italian. Who knows? Anyhow, it really was a gorgeous setting.

And though I don't know Peter at all, he seems like a choice dude:)

After Peter and Amanda were pronounced husband and wife some jazzy tune came on and they danced their way back up the isle. It was very cute and the newly married couple looked so happy.

It was a very happy feeling to get to attend their wedding. Since we are pretty much the only family that lives outside of Utah there are lots of family things that we have missed out on. It makes me sad to miss out, so I am grateful to my cousin who chose to get married when we Oregon folk could be there.

I love my family so much and it was F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S  to get to chat and be with them for a whole week!

When the dancing started it made me laugh to watch my niece Karley try and try to get Eli to dance with her. He would have nothing to do with such a thing. And she would not let up. It was pretty hilarious to watch.

Oh, and I can't forget to mention that Peter loves to bake, so he made their wedding cake from scratch and even decorated it.

That's not a story you hear everyday!

And it was gorgeous. And it tasted SO GOOD. He made a red velvet cake. Now in my experience with red velvet cake, it is not an easy cake to get just right, but this was just right. And I even loved the frosting. And I don't love frosting.

I can't remember what Peter does for a living, but in my humble opinion he should open up a bakery and specialize in wedding cakes. He would be rich. He would be the next Cake Boss. No kidding.

I wish this adorable couple the very best.
