Pink Bath

This afternoon Sophi and Eli had a swimming birthday party to go to. Ivy went upstairs and got her swimsuit on and got in the van, positive that she was invited too. She was completely heartbroken when I dropped off her brother and sister, but not her. I felt sad for her as I looked through the rear view mirror and saw her all decked out in her swimsuit, ready to go swimming and big crocodile tears running down her cheeks. I had to think quick and come up with a good solution! I suggested a swimming party in the bath tub. She was not impressed. Then I suggested a PINK bath swimming party. That's all it took to sell her on my idea. Just adding the word PINK and the offer became irresistible! When we got home I got out our neon PINK food coloring while Ivy grabbed her barbie friends. She loved getting to swirl the color into the water. It didn't take long before she was happily swimming and giggling in her PINK enchanted sea. What more could a little girl want!?!

That is so impressive, Tonya. At first I thought you had a pink porcelain tub and I was so jealous. But then I saw that it was food coloring. What a great mom you are.

You are so great. Sometimes the best days as a mom are when you realize that something so simple can create a wonderful memory for your child. I'm keeping this idea in the bank for an emergency day.
