Firsts

The FIRST day of school. Rylie- 5th Grade in Mrs Winterfeld's class. Sophia- 3rd grade in Mrs. Nelson's class. Eli- Kindergarten P.M. in Mrs. Moon's class. This is the best face Eli would give me:0)
Eli waiting for his very FIRST bus ride. He was so excited and seeing all his excitement made me so excited for him. I must admit that when I saw the bus coming up the street my eyes started to do a little of..........

this. How can I possibly have three kids in school? Time goes by way to fast.

Eli finally on the bus and on his way to his FIRST day of Kindergarten. I raced the bus to the school to make sure that Eli made it to his classroom without fear. I'm sure he would have been fine without me, but he asked me to be there when he got off the bus, and i'm so glad I did. The buses were running 15 min. late that day and I was sure that maybe the buses weren't coming at all. I called the school at 5 min. from the time that school was to be starting and they assured me that the bus was on it's way. But because of the lateness of the bus all parents, but me, had taken their kids to school. This meant that Eli got the bus all to himself. He thought that was so awesome. It was so funny to see this huge bus pull up in front of the school with just little Eli inside. The principal of the school told me that a bunch of parents had shown up with their kids stating that they didn't want their kids to be late for the first day of school. I on the other hand was all about letting Eli take that FIRST bus ride on his FIRST day of school. I don't know what that says about me, but I was totally fine with him being late on the first day of kindergarten if that meant he got to take that FIRST bus ride that he had been talking about for months.

Ivy's FIRST day at dance class. She was a little shy at first, but warmed up pretty quickly. This is her FIRST dance class ever and I think she will love it.

Eli's FIRST time ever playing soccer. He has loved it so far and has his very FIRST soccer game this Saturday. Go Purple Lightning! I love the team names that the kids come up with. I was rooting for The Purple People Eaters, but it was not to be:0)

I was laughing so hard, thinking of your sweet little boy on the bus alone and loving it. That's just so funny and sweet. I can't believe all your kids are getting so big!! How does that happen? ;-)

3 kids in school?! That really is crazy. Love the picture of the kids on the first day of school and Eli bending over. What a nut. Reminds me of something our little guy would do. Must be a boy thing.
Loved the bus story. Talk about a great first bus ride.

Your trip to the beach with the Golds looked so fun. Your so lucky to have such fun in-laws. I love the Golds.

Oh, that is so adorable! I loved that you raced to school to see Eli off the bus and to his FIRST day of Kindergarten! I think it's really sweet that you made the effort so he could have his FIRST bus ride on the FIRST day of school! The photo of Ivy at her FIRST day of dance class is priceless, too! I can't believe you have a 5th grader! I'm so behind in the kid department! Oh well, I guess it will help keep me young!

How are you old enough to have three kids in school? That just seems crazy! I am glad your week of 1st was so wonderful for everyone and I think it's awesome to get the entire bus to yourself!

Can't believe you have 3 kids in school either! We LOVED mrs. Nelson! I think she is Haylee's favorite teacher of all time. Tell her Haylee says hi.=)
Next year I will have all 4 of my kids in school and I can't believe that either!

Your little family is growing up. Next year when you're freaking out that you have a middle schooler, I'm here for you.

I rode the kindie bus yesterday and it was a lonely ride...just me and Rachael and 2 or 3 extras...I agree with you. Let them ride! They have been waiting years for this!

I think Rachael's team is Red Lightening. Maybe we'll play you!

All the "firsts" sound exciting! Ivy is such a cute ballerina. I sure hope Aly likes dance (of course I'll put her in sports too). We miss you guys! Happy birthday to Eli!

Too funny!! Eli's teacher's name is Mrs. Moon and look at his little pose on the first day of school - practically MOONING the camera! Oh I love it.

5th grade?!?! One more year then you get to experience what I am going through right now. today. present life. MIDDLE SCHOOLER!

I LOVE that you let little Eli ride the bus! I bet he was just thrilled. Makes me smile just thinking about it! I, too, was a little teary on the first day. It's hard to let go. Sigh.
