I love working with the Young Women in our ward! This last weekend we got to go to the Magness Tree Farm in Sherwood for an overnighter. It was so great to spend time with these girls, not to mention the awesome leaders that were there too! Here we are huddled under a tree after getting soaked on our hike:0) The weather was not very nice to us but we had a blast despite it. Back at the lodge we played games, ate way too much chocolate, made cards, and had some amazing discussions........President Hinckleys 9 Be's, What it means to be steadfast and immovable, and the testimony meeting at the end of the night was so great! These girls have such strong testimonies and do an amazing job of standing up for what's good and right. It was so fun to hear their insights and learn from them. The girls stayed up until 2:00 in the morning laughing and talking about boys. When they finally got quiet we leaders decided to get loud and crazy just to tweak the girls out a little bit. I'm sure they thought we were weird, but it was fun:0) I left feeling totally uplifted and so grateful for the gospel in my life.Monday, March 17, 2008

I never knew when I was in YW's, how much fun it is to be a YW leader, especially when you serve with other fun leaders!
how fun that you have a blog! i feel like i don't get to interact with the adults on Sundays, but I for sure know how sweet all their kids are.
young womens is such a fun place to be in the church. i was the Miamaid advisor for almost our entire 5 years in South Carolina. it kept me feeling young. and oh how I miss girls camp. glad you had such a fun time!
I can't wait until I am in young womens. I hope that you are still a leader then.
