“Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he has been robbed. The fact is that most putts don’t drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just like people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, and most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is just like an old time rail journey … delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride.”-Gordon B. Hinckley

I have 2 of his quotes on my blog. It helps to keep me positive when I'm having a bad day.
Speaking of positive. We had the best enrichment meeting tonight. I came away determined to be more positive and to remember the healing influence of the Savior in my life. I have been working on being more positive, so tonight definately touched my heart.
Yay--you have a blog now! Love the quotes!
Love those quotes! The trick is remembering to be positive when things aren't how we want. That's why we have each other to keep reminding!
What a wise man. Thanks for sharing. I really needed to read those!
Awesome reminders, thanks! Wasn't he the greatest man? So real and down to earth, he just said it like it was.
