Beverly Beach

Two days after Christmas we took our trailer to Beverly Beach to do some Winter camping.

When we left Beaverton it was COLD and FOGGY. So we were not expecting much from the weather at the coast.

When we pulled up at Beverly Beach an hour and a half later, we were amazed that the skies were clear, the sun was shining brightly and that the temperature was 10 degrees warmer at the beach then it was at home.

Yes!

And there was no wind. This doesn't happen very often.

We all agreed that it felt significantly warmer in December then it did last Summer when we camped there. It had to be because of all the high wind we experienced.

Oregon weather is so weird!

Matt, Rylie, Eli and Ivy decided that they wanted to go on a whale watching tour. Sophi and I thought that sounded cold. So we went and got french fries and hot chocolate and sat in a warm restaurant, while the others went out to sea.

On the first night there we couldn't get our furnace to work right, so we had to go purchase a small space heater so we wouldn't freeze during the night. The next day we called a traveling RV fixer guy to come and help us out. He discovered that our battery had been wired backwards...but don't ask Matt about that. He won't admit to any wrong doing:)

Hopefully a 75.00 service call will be a good reminder on how not to wire a battery.

We spent most of the weekend relaxing and playing games. That's a pretty dang perfect weekend.

I love building these memories with my awesome family.

They really are the best.
