This place is by far my favorite swimming hole in Oregon. It's shallow, no current and only an hour from our house. It's pretty much perfect! The water is cold, but no too cold and perfectly crystal clear. I honestly didn't know that was possible with a river, but this is proof. It's beautiful.
So when we heard that Saturday was going to be in the upper 80's we knew we had to go! And I am so, so glad we did, because every day since has been overcast and slightly chilly. Fall is definitely on it's way. And I am not ready for it at all.
The other day I was talking to one of my kids and they were expressing their excitement that Fall and Winter were coming right up. This child LOVES cold weather days. She was totally offended when I told her that I would be so happy sitting on a beach on Christmas day and suggested that maybe one year we could do one of those Christmas tropical cruises I've always wanted to do. The disgust on her face said it all.
Not. Going. To. Happen!
Sigh. One day I will live somewhere that's warm year round. One day.
But until then, I will embrace beautiful Oregon and pray for SUNSHINE.
