One of the things I love about living in Oregon is that we rarely see snow. Yes, it exists in the mountains, but it's a rare phenomenon when it falls on the valley floor. It's pretty hilarious because the Portland area literally shuts down as soon as there's more than a dusting on the roads. That's another thing I love about living in Oregon!
This snow storm was fast and fierce and shut the city down quickly. The kids had several days off of school and we took it as an opportunity to play hard and drink tons of hot cocoa. That's definitely my definition of a perfect winter storm!
