Okay, so I'm starting this post with a fun night out with our friends. It really doesn't count as Spring Break, since we are all adults, but it happened during Spring Break, so, that's all the explaining I will do on this matter:)
We went out to dinner with the awesome Oberg's ( Kell's Irish Pub~ good, but not great, is my view on that place, just FYI ).
Afterwards we thought we should do the Portland thing and walk on over to VooDoo Donuts. And guess who should be in line just two peoples away from us? Yep, all those other crazy goofs in the above picture.
It was a happy reunion and we all ate donuts together outside.
I love VooDoo. It's so WEIRD!
David Dias, trying to convince us that the stained glass guy is, none other than, Gordon B. Hinckley. It was pretty funny, but I guess you'd have to be there to see the humor in it.
And of course we had to bring donuts home to the kids. It was just the right thing to do!
We had a fun movie night with the Moxley family. Here's the boys BEGGING for a sleep over.
( Rylie, Sophia and Jordan )
We also made our way to Seaside.
Matt was able to take a half day off. And we are SO glad he did. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and we had a great time! Matt's sister Clarka and her family were there , too, so it was fun hanging out with them. Plus, they were staying at a hotel with a heated outdoor pool, so Eli and Ivy were in heaven! Rylie and Sophia were much more interested in the idea of shopping, so I sacrificed my time in the pool and went with them.
I actually had no intention of swimming at the Oregon Coast. Way too cold! And I'm a huge cold weather wimp.
The shops in Seaside are fun. I love the vibe in this small little city.
The girls wanted to go on the Tilt-A-Whirl and the bumper cars.
We went in the gift shops and took pictures, but never bought a single thing...except for some yummy smelling bath salts.
Sisterly love.
My family. I seriously love these people!
One day we went with Aunt Jen and cousins to OMSI.
I love Grammy Gold for buying grandparent passes to all these cool places, so we can get in for free. Grammy Gold rocks!
Rylie and Sophia were not thrilled with this plan, so they stayed home and hung out with friends. Whatever! They must be teenagers or something.
We built that entire arch and Eli wasn't about to let it fall!
Eli trying his hand at building a salmon stream.
The "Portland Recycles" game.
Eli learning about solar power. He looks thrilled.
Ivy got SOAKED in the water room. Holy moly, child!
The beautiful view as we came down the elevator to go home. Portland is so pretty.
( Abstinence Makes The Church Grow Fondlers )
The bumper sticker that managed to really grab my attention as were driving home from OMSI.
Yikes!
( Kaleb, Eli, Kyle, Sophia, and Kole )
And of course we couldn't end Spring Break without spending a day at Skate World.
