Umpqua Lighthouse

One of the things our family loves to do is go camping the week before Christmas. For the last two years the Oberg family has joined us and we LOVE that! Hopefully this will continue to be a family tradition for many, many more years to come. The weather was gorgeous this year, which meant the hiking was amazing.

Burrito Boy in Eugene is a must stop while we travel the 3ish hours to Reedsport, Oregon.

Our yurt.

Fortune teller, Eli.

Where's Matt?

Hint: Somewhere in that tree.

 Baby salmon.

Christmas lights at Shore Acres State Park.

It was BEAUTIFUL!

The Umpqua Discovery Center in Reedsport.

Hanging out on the beach.

It was FREEZING cold near the water, but up where we were camping it was really nice.

Hanging out in the yurt!

Games, movies, chatting, and food.

Good, simple, down home FUN!

I know, you can hardly call this camping:)

I love this tradition. If you were in Coos Bay the week before Christmas you were there when I had surgery. Darn! I would have loved a visit at the hospital! I hope your christmas was marvelous.

We would have met you there if we knew that you were in Eugene.
