Happy Busy

Summer is here. Yay! And I've been the hugest blog slacker ever!!! But not because nothin's been going on. We have been running non-stop. Seriously. It's been fun, but I must slow down and document our life! This is how I "scrapbook" after all. So, get excited as I have many fun things to share...

The photo above is actually right before school got out. I had the privilege of leading 5 amazing little Kindergartners through the forest on their "walking" field trip. Yeah, the forest is right across the street from the school. Oregon is cool that way. We looked for bugs, things to smell, sounds to hear and things to feel. It was joyous. It was pouring rain, but we had fun anyways.

The other day I found Ivy out in the backyard playing by herself. She was wearing  ski goggles on her head and playing with a fire poker. I wasn't happy about her playing with a sharp metal object, but found humor in her silly little game and had to snap a picture. Then I took the fire poker away.

The kids have had fun and a lot of success at selling lemonade and homemade cookies. So far they have had two sales and are 40ish dollars richer. Not too shabby!

The loot.

One of those precious random pictures that showed up when I was uploading these photos. Sophia and Ivy sharing the love.

This summer we will be bowling a lot thanks to kidsbowlfree.com. I like this program! One night we went with some friends to party it up at Park Lanes.

Our funny score board.

Ellie is always so nice to Ivy.

Ivy got a strike!

Eli cracked us when he asked if he could use his allowance to buy a drink and came back with a drink and a cheeseburger. He was so proud of himself! He was so attached to his meat that he wouldn't even let it go when it was his turn to bowl. Do you see it in his hand? What a hilarious, cute little dork!

And when the clock struck 10:00 bowling became COSMIC bowling!
Loud music, smoke, funky lights.
That was a first for the Gold Family.
And we had a blast!

Super cute blog - minus the picture of me bowling!!! But it was a BLAST and I had almost forgotten about Eli and his burger, I hope I never forget watching him bowl with a plate, guarding his precious loot! Love it!
