On Memorial Day we packed up the van and headed to Hug Point, near Cannon Beach, with our friends, the
Obergs. The weather was beautiful and the company great. We had an awesome day! Above is a view of where we set up our camp. We had never been to this beach before, but it is
definitely now one of our favorites. There are tons of caves and rock formations and a fresh water waterfall that creates little pools for the kids to play in.

Me and Allison.

Me and my
hunny.

Ivy in one of the natural swim pools. It was great to not have to worry about the kids being carried out to sea...though Ivy did get bored with the safe zones and headed to the big open water a few times.

The kids had a blast when they found some burnt wood and used it to draw faces on the rocks. This kept them busy for quite a while.

And of course the kids begged to be buried in the sand. Here's mermaid Ivy.

And mermaid Sophia. The End.

Love your "mermaids!" What a fun day for everybody.
Looks like a bunch of people from the ward were at the beach that weekend (not too much of a surprise I suppose)! Including us, although we went between Lincoln City and Newport this time.
Always a good time when we hang out with you and your fam...thanks for the great Memorial Day!

What a fun happy family. I love all the smiles. :o)
How come I've never heard of Hug Point before? It looks beautiful. Those warm sunny beach days in Oregon are a real treat.
I'm supposed to be working, but it's 10 pm on Friday and I got a little writer's block with my proposal and needed a little inspiration the family in Oregon. Looks incredible. One of the things I miss most about Oregon is how awesome the coast is there. Cold, but awesome.
What a great spot! The kiddos look like they had a blast. You guys look great! How's the move going?
