Happy New Year

I have totally been in an anti technology mood the last couple of weeks. That means no blogging, no Facebook. I did find it in me to check my e-mails every couple of days, but that's it. I think I have truly let myself be on Christmas vacation and I have LOVED it. I am slowly getting back into reality. For a few seconds I even thought that it would be nice to home school my kids. We could sleep in every morning. Have breakfast at leisure. Do studies in our pajamas. But then I clue in to the fact that I would totally suck as a home school Mom and that really my kids like school and I am just lazy:0) I hope everybody has had a great Christmas break and a wonderful New Years. I had so many pictures from the snow, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years that I thought it would be best to make these cool mosaics to showcase our Holiday adventures. I really loved Christmas this year. There have been some years where I have felt overwhelmed and that gifts were in too much abundance....I guess I felt out of balance. This year was different. Matt and I worked harder to make sure that our family experienced the true meaning of Christmas. We tried harder to give service and to teach our kids how special it is to worry more about what to give than what to get. I felt like the gifts that were received were well thought out and given from the heart. Christmas just felt more magical this year for some reason and I was so happy to share it with our wonderful families. We also had a great New Years celebration at the home of our friends Kari and Berry. We ate, played games, danced, sang, ate some more, and stayed up until 1:30 in the morning. Even little Ivy was still going at that crazy hour! So, here's to 2009. I hope that it brings much gladness to our home as well as yours.

It's nice to take technology breaks every once in a while!

I know how you feel about homeschooling. Most of my friends here do it, and I must say I sometimes consider it, but in the end I don't think I would be a happy mommy.

I love all your photos!

I was so happy to see how much I enjoy being with my kids. After 3 weeks I thought I would be kicking them out the door but we were so happy being together.

I haven't checked posts in awhile so it was fun to scroll down through yours. My Mom always did ironing but our closets are so crowded that I just put it away and iron it when I want to wear it. (Ok and Ben irons his own every morning). I'm spoiled. Life is good and I'm looking forward to 2009, just need to sell our house in Oregon, have a baby, and find a house here, no big deal.

Looks like a fun Christmas! I'm impressed that Ivy was still going at 1:30 am! Not sure how my boys would be~probably better than I think. I was just wondering why you hadn't updated, but I remembered you're at Disney! Hope you're all having a BLAST!
