We got our house decorated for Christmas a few weeks ago. We celebrated the beginning of our Christmas Season with hot chocolate and watching The Polar Express. Tonight we hosted an open house for our neighbors. It was fun getting to know them better. A few people that we had never even met or maybe met once showed up. There was tons of food and great conversation. The huge amounts of snow kept some at home, but we had a good turn out. Before they went home we gave them a copy of Mr.
Krueger's Christmas to keep. If you haven't seen it I think you should. It's great!

Our tree. Small, but happy.

Eli lost his first two teeth! Does he think the Tooth Fairy is made of money?

The kids have been playing hard in the snow. Here is Ivy looking a little bit like she belongs in A Christmas Story. I love that flick!

My snow babies all bundled up!

One of my favorite things so far this Christmas Season was watching my three girl's perform in their Christmas dance recitals. It was a first for all of them. They did a great job and they all LOVED it! Picture above is Ivy dancing with her teddy bear.

Ivy with her dance class. We love her teacher Miss Heidi. Ivy is front and center.
Rylie looks like an angel.
Rylie, front and center. She looks very professional!

Sophia on the left with her pretty, sparkly skirt.

The best gift I could have given my husband is to actually get the ironing done. This is about a three month old pile. Sad, I know. 100% cotton should be banned. All cotton product should be required to have some polyester or spandex material, so it will not wrinkle. Don't you agree?

After a few hours of
slavin' away I actually finished all the ironing. I even found Eli's missing Sunday Coat and a shirt that he grew out of while it sat in the dreaded pile. I found 7 of Matt's shirts and a dress and skirt for my girls. It was almost like going on a shopping spree. Well, Merry Christmas:0)

Great post Tonya. I love the open house idea. How did you let people know about it?
And your girls are beautiful dancers. You can see in their eyes that they love what they are doing.
I love little dancers!
Wishing you a fabric steamer for Christmas so you never have to iron again....my friend has one and she just waves the wand and she's done!
You are a saint to do ironing! It's been a very long time for me.

Have fun in all that snow!
I do agree! I hate ironing. I rarely do it and rarely buy anything that has to be ironed or I avoid wearing things that will need to be ironed after it's washed.
I don't mind the ironing, I just can never get it done with 2 little boys running around all day! What fun dance pics of the girls.
Oh man, Matt has got some serious moves! The girls are cute, too! :)
