Today my baby turned three! Very last minute I decided a party was in order. Thanks to awesome friends and a very awesome Grammy who obliged my late notice, a party was under way.

They played Zingo. Please excuse the crotch shot on Ivy!

We even made aroma dough. The kids all got to help pour, stir and knead. We used mango and cherry kool-aid packets to make it smell yummy! Then they got to play with their creation and take it home.

Hannah and Mylie gave Ivy a pretty, pretty princess set and Eli thought he would try it out. He was having fun until the first parent showed up to claim their child. He heard that doorbell ring and the girly stuff went flying. He is much to manly to be caught wearing femmie garb.

This is Ivy on take home day at the hospital with her very doting Daddy.

All four of our precious little monkeys finally got to meet.

As soon as I pushed this sweet little bundle out I had an overwhelming feeling come over me that she was our last child. I was not looking for this inspiration, but it came so strongly. As I took this sweet baby girl into my arms I knew that she was the last missing link to our family. Ivy makes my heart melt. She is so sweet. She has a great little personality. The other day she dropped spagetti all over her lap during dinner. She looked so disgusted and raised up her little arms and exclaimed in her most disgusted tone, "EWWW Mom! Just change my legs"! I love her requests for me or Daddy to lay with her every night. And even though it gets annoying I adore that she still wants to hang off of my hip several hours each day. Sometimes it makes my heart ache that she is growing up so fast, but I treasure every moment that I get to spend with her. Happy Birthday to my little sugar lumpkins!

Happy Birthday Ivy! What a cute little girl. She looks so much like Sophia. I can't wait to see her someday.
In the last picture of you holding her after she was born, how can you looks so great after just giving birth?!
You do look great in that last picture. It's incredible. Your little Ivy is a cutie and she sounds like a special little girl.
Time flies huh?! The picture of Eli, I had no idea who it was until I read your caption...lol
Happy Birthday to your sweet girl! Thank you for sharing the personal revelation you received after you had her...the last link in your family chain. What a special moment!
Happy Birthday Ivers!! We love you!! I can't believe she's 3 already!! Time flies...I too didn't realize that was Eli until I read the post!! What a silly man!! :)

Happy Birthday Ivy! She is so cute! I remember last year when she turned two and we met you guys at the park. Wow, time flies! Now our little girl is about to turn 2! Have any advice for parents of a 2 year old?! That aroma dough looks really cool. Do the kids get tempted to eat it? I need to get the recipe for that stuff! I love the photo of your kids holding Ivy just after she was born- so adorable! They have grown a lot since then!
Happy Birthday Ivy! I can't believe she's already 3, especially since that means my Spencer is 3--they grow up so fast! I want you recipe for the aroma dough--it would be a fun summer activity.
It all goes by too fast, eh? We'll have to get the monsters together soon.
Sounds like she had a great time at the party!
Also...a bunch of us mom's have a cooking/recipe blog. If you want to put any of your favorites up, just let me know and I will add you as an author. All I need is your e-mail. Love ya!
I can not beleive we are related!
I knew I liked you as much as family. That's so crazy! What a small world. I met your cousin for the first time this year actually at our Grandfather's funeral. I really like him. He seems like a really nice guy, very humble.
Happy B-day to cute Ivy. Our little three year olds are only weeks apart. How fun.
Okay and I must say you are one darn good looking Momma. That picture of Ivy right after she was born is gorgeous. I try to avoid all photoe opps after our babies are born. I'm really not a pretty picture. You on the other hand. Wow!! Hot Momma! :)
Maybe I'm a little partial because I'm the baby of my family, but I think mama's have a special place in their heart for their last babies.
Hey Tonya- So how is it that you know my cousins? It was so weird when I saw that you know them. Its such a small world. I hope to see you in August for the family reunion, we havent gone the last couple of years but we will be there this year.
I dont have a blog but heres my email address. mary84092@msn.com yeah I know its a lame address
It seems like you were just pregnant. How did that happen so fast. It's exciting and hard to see children grow up so quickly.
your blog keeps morphing! but it's a cute as ever. I love all your "gold" metaphors.
Happy Birthday, Ivy! I know what you mean--Maia's 4! It's so weird.
boy that time went so fast! i love your "last minute" party! i'm sure they all loved it, especially ivy!
Happy Birthday to your sweet little baby girl. What a tender post, Tonya. Thanks for sharing those thoughts... very special!
I love looking at those pictures when she was a baby- such feelings of nostalgia. I don't want her to grow up too fast. She is so beautiful, just like her mom.
