Now I know my kids are stinkin' cute and it saddens me that this is the best picture I got of them on Easter. I didn't think of taking a picture of them in their new easter outfits until that night when Ivy was already naked and bedtime was under way. Shucky darn huh?? I was so suprised on Easter morning that Sophia and Eli decided to get ready for church and clean their rooms and then wake up Mom and Dad to go do Easter baskets. What 5 and 7 year old kids do that? So sweet! Anyways, had a great Easter, made the Gold family famous recipe of creamed eggs over toast(I LOVE IT!).We did a lesson about the real meaning of Easter, went to church, and then started all the festivities over at Grandma and Grandpa Tripp's that evening. One question though...What in the heck do bunnies and candy have to do with the Resurrection of Jesus Christ? Maybe I should research that one, unless anybody has any great answers.Monday, March 31, 2008

I can totally relate to not getting the Easter photos taken at the right time! I managed to get a few of Emma in her jammies checking out her Easter candy but I didn't get any before church and she looked so cute! Oh well. Another time. Your kids looked cute anyway, Easter clothes or not!
I LOVE creamed eggs on toast! That's part of our christmas breakfast tradition from the Lake side. It's English. I bet the Golds are English, too, right?
I get the Egg thing, representing new life, but I don't get the bunny thing either.
Holly was crying in all of our Eater pics so I know how you feel. It's such a rare moment when they are all dressed up and happy all at the same time. We try!
